Elissa's strategic nomination as MVP may have backfired, as seen by the latest developments on the Big Brother live feeds.

Head of Household: Aaryn Gries

Nominees: Elissa Slater & Helen Kim

Other houseguests: Amanda Zuckerman, Andy Herren, Candice Stewart, GinaMarie Zimmerman, Howard Overby, Jeremy McGuire, Jessie Kowalski, Judd Daughtery, Kaitlin Barnaby, McCrae Olson, Nick Uhas and Spencer Clawson

As Week 2 MVP, Elissa was allowed to nominate a third person for eviction and chose to nominate Jeremy in the hopes that there would be enough votes to evict him this week. However, Elissa is unaware that there is a secret male alliance called The Moving Company in the house that Jeremy is a part of.

Big Brother held its second Power of Veto competition of the season on Sunday with nominees Elissa, Helen and Jeremy participating alongside Head of Household Aaryn and randomly-chosen players Amanda and Nick. Unfortunately for Elissa, Jeremy ended up winning the competition, allowing him to take himself off the nomination block.

There was discussion in the house that Nick might be part of some other secret twist because of his eccentric personality and him getting called to the Diary Room more often than most of his fellow houseguests. Fueled by this discussion, Elissa contemplated the idea of nominating him once Jeremy takes himself off the block.

Since Nick is also a part of The Moving Company, nominating him would likely not help Elissa stay, since almost everyone is already gunning for her to be evicted.

At the Veto ceremony on Monday, Jeremy predictably took himself off the block, forcing Elissa to name a replacement nominee (in secret). She ultimately chose to put up Nick, who did not seem too worried about his fate after the ceremony was over.

As of Tuesday morning, the general feeling in the house is that Elissa will be evicted on Thursday, though anything can happen in the Big Brother house.

Big Brother 15 will air its next episode Wednesday at 8 p.m. on CBS, featuring the MVP reveal, the third nomination, the Power of Veto competition and the Veto ceremony.

In the mean time, watch Big Brother host Julie Chen and her co-hosts on The Talk discussing the racism and homophobia in the house Monday:
