Production for season 3 of Once Upon a Time began production recently and there is a new role being cast for episode 3, according to a Tuesday report by SpoilerTV.

The character is named Violet and is described in the report as a head-strong girl in her 20's who likes to get into trouble and party. She will be featured in a recurring role in the third season. A Tuesday report from TVLine confirmed the same character description. The report also suggested that the character might actually be the fairy Tinker Bell from the Peter Pan stories.

Enstars previously reported that Tinker Bell would be included in the new season as the setting moves from Storybrooke to Neverland. She is supposed to have a surprising connection to one of the show's regular characters. It remains to be seen if Violet and Tinker Bell are one in the same but early reports seem to suggest it.

Producers are also casting for the roles of Peter Pan as well as Rufio, the leader of the Lost Boys.

In other Once Upon a Time news, Lana Parrilla, who plays the Evil Queen/Regina Mills, will be appearing at Comic-Con on Saturday, July 20, in San Diego. She was the only regular cast member who had not previously been reported to be part of the Once Upon a Time panel.

ABC has not released a premiere date for the third season of Once Upon a Time, though it is scheduled to debut sometime in the fall. While in season, it airs Sundays at 8 p.m. The show's cast includes Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret/Snow White), Jennifer Morrison (Emma), Robert Carlyle (Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin) Josh Dallas (David/Prince Charming), Emilie de Ravin (Lacey/Belle) and Colin O'Donoghue (Captain Hook).
