Although Fox's hit musical show Glee has reduced the roles of five of its original cast members for Season 5, it will still be maintaining nearly the same quantity of its characters moving forward.

According to TVLine, the popular TV series has attached three new recurring parts. The site reported that all three roles are female in gender.

One character, an African-American named Ruby, will be attending McKinley High School. The other two, Julie and Ryan, are said to be in their 20s, play guitar, and more than likely reside in New York City.

Wet Paint suggests that the 20-somethings could very well co-star with Rachel (Lea Michele) in Funny Girl. However, if Julie and Ryan don't pan out to be in Rachel's broadway show, they could very well join Kurt's (Chris Colfer) new band, stated the TV site.

Although no clear-cut date has yet to be made for it's return, Glee's fifth season will most likely be coming back on Thursday, September 19 at 9/8 p.m. Central on FOX.
