Did Colton Dixon Strike 'Tebowing' Pose on American Idol?
Colton Dixon appeared to strike a "Tebowing" pose during his performance last night on American Idol.
Dixon, who is a devout Christian, gave an emotionally charged performance of "Everything" by Lifehouse, which he explained was his favorite "worship song." Just before ending the song, he put his left knee on the ground and briefly stuck a "tebowing" pose, then ended his song with both knees on the ground..
"What a way to start this show. It was so emotional I can honestly say that I was really moved and it was not about vocal acrobatics it was about hearing your song," judge Jennifer Lopez said.
"Really great job," she added.
It was not very clear if Dixon did it intentionally or if it was the flow of his performance.
"Tebowing" has become on online craze which imitates NFL quarterback Tim Tebow's habit of kneeling on the football field, which he says is to pray.
