Just off the heels of a major casting with the likes of Idol alumni Adam Lambert, Fox's hit TV series, Glee, is surely gearing up for its upcoming fifth season.

Actor Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester), who'll be returning to his Broadway roots with an encore edition of Up Close and Personal with Matthew Morrison, recently dished to Broadway.com about how he'd like to see his character develop.

"Personally, I think it would be fun for him to have kids one day. But this show is about firsts, and I feel like the kids have a lot of firsts. Will was really big in the first couple of seasons, but he's taken a little bit of a backseat to the kids nowadays," he said.

While the 34-year-old was quick to acknowledge his reduced presence on the program, he also pointed out the good its done for the arts program.

"But it's been fun to be on this show, and to see what it's done for arts education. I think people are seeing more [live] shows because of Glee, and it's been really great to be a part of that," Morrison added.

Although no air date has yet to be officially announced, season 5 of Glee will most likely be returning on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 9/8 p.m. Central on FOX. The midseason finale is slated to come out on either Nov. 14 or Nov. 21. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the popular TV program.
