'Falling Skies' Season 3 Spoilers: The Masons See Life Without the 2nd Mass, Look For Anne and Lexi VIDEO
The Mason family is integral to Falling Skies, but viewers have yet to see them work together during season 3.
This weeks "The Pickett Line" looks to make up for it, giving fans an extra dose of family bonding as the four Masons set out to find the recent additions to their family.
"Unlike previous years, we rarely ever do anything together," said Connor Jessup (Ben Mason) of his onscreen family, according to TV Line. "And now, finally, we unite back together and yes, it gives us a chance to look at the Mason family 'six months later,' so to say."
Alone on the road, the guys find themselves face-to-face with the fear and uncertainty they had before gaining so much information with the 2nd Mass. Ambushed by a family (the Picketts) who have weathered out the invasion on their own, the Mason's see what life could be like if they had taken a different course.
"We get ambushed by this band of brigands, thieves, and they all turn out to be from the same family - a dad and his kids, just trying to survive," Jessup told TV Line. "But unlike the Masons, they don't have the structure of the 2nd Mass or anything like that, so they are desperate to get whatever they can."
"Our scope has opened up a lot, but for the Picketts, life is the same as it was during the invasion," Jessup continued. "It's still a faceless, nameless enemy they're fighting."
As Tom faces the irrational enemy that is scared humanity, time is slowly running out for the Masons to find Anne (Moon Bloodgood) and baby Lexi.
Falling Skies airs on TNT Sundays at 10 p.m.
