'Castle' Season 6 Premiere: Nathan Fillion Contract Dispute Affecting Production Schedule [VIDEO]
In what's clearly less than ideal news, it was reported that production on season 6 of ABC's hit crime series Castle had been postponed due to a feud between the network and star Nathan Fillion (Castle).
According to Deadline, the actor was a no-show to the set on Friday, July 12 due to a contract dispute, as he's looking to have his workload reduced to a four-day workweek.
An ABC representative did inform E! Online that the 42-year-old was actually present on Tuesday, with a source giving confirmation that the production process will indeed be moving forward.
Fillion had taken to Twitter on Thursday, July 11, and posted a picture of himself along with guest star Lisa Edelstein with the following caption:
"Sitting with @lisaedelstein discussing twitter. Is she a doll? Yes, yes she is."
However, the actor was "noticeably Twitter silent on the following day," stated the entertainment site.
Although no airdate has yet to been officially announced, all indications point to the show starting up again on either Monday, September 23 or the following week, stated Carter Matt.
