Sherri Shepherd has reportedly been attached to a recurring role on CBS' How I Met Your Mother when the popular program returns for its ninth and final season in the fall.

According to CBS News. The View co-host will don the part of Daphne, a woman that's sitting near Marshall (Jason Segel) aboard a flight to New York.

"She is hilareous and delightful and perfect for this part - we couldn't be more thrilled," HIMYM executive producer Craig Thomas said.

The Office's Ellie Kemper will also come aboard to play Cassie on the upcoming installment. Thomas informed TVLine that the respective character will be present at the wedding as "one of the most attractive, available, and -- as Ted discovers -- unfortunate guests at Barney and Robin's wedding."

Wayne Brady will also be coming back to reprise his role as Barney's brother. To top it off, Ted (Josh Radnor) will finally come face to face with the woman of his dreams, who's played by Cristin Milioti.
