'Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Spoilers: Who Got Bit & Are Elena Or Katherine Involved? [PHOTO & Video]
The season 5 production process of CW's hit TV series The Vampire Diaries is indeed full steam ahead, as actress Nina Dobrev, who dons the roles of Elena and Katherine, took to Twitter to post a fairly gory picture while on location.
Alongside the bloody photo, which appears to be fang marks on flesh, Dobrev posted the following message in the early hours of July 19.
"Blood and gore at 5:22 a.m. ... Just another day at the office. Night shooting till sunrise ... Is that soon? My bed is calling my name!!!" The actress said.
Although no further explanation was given with the image, one can only assume that it involved Dobrev's character Elena in some way, shape or form. However, it is a possibility that it could be associated with Katherine, who is Elena's old doppleganger that partook in the cure in last season's finale.
The CW's Vampire Diaries is scheduled to air its fifth season on Thursday, October 10. Its spin-off series, The Originals, will begin season 1 on Tuesday, October 15.
