Since abruptly losing his wife Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) while she gave birth in the third season of AMC's The Walking Dead, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) seemed like he was going off the mental deep end.

While the prison group leader is still undoubtedly struggling with demons, he seemed to come back around during the tail end of Season 3.

However, while Rick improved his psych, the character still has to deal his son Carl's (Chandler Riggs) gun-wielding ways, as he killed a Woodbury resident for no clear reason in Season 3.

Lincoln touched on his character's kin to Entertainment Weekly, and how it will affect Rick's ability to be a group leader in the process.

"You find him in a completely different place. And I do think that the struggle within him is still there, which is whether or not he should be a leader at the expense of being a father figure," he said.

Many are suspecting that Carl will turn into a mini Governor of some sorts. Nonetheless, only time will tell how he'll continue to respond to the rest of the group amid the increasing threat of zombies moving forward.

AMC's The Walking Dead is slated to launch Season 4 on Sunday, October 13 at 9/8 p.m. Central. Be sure to keep checking back with Enstars for more of the latest info on the popular program. The show's season 4 teaser trailer can be watched below.
