Following the tragic death of Cory Monteith (Finn), there has been massive speculation on just how the writers on Fox's Glee will address the issue moving forward into its fifth season.

According to Deadline on July 20, executive producer Ryan Murphy stated that the late actor's character will also be passing away on the popular show.

The EP explained that instead of making Finn disappear or recasting the pivotal role, the character would pass on, which would then lead Glee into a long hiatus.

"We will then do an episode that will deal with the death of Finn's character and follow with a long hiatus," he said.

Although fans are surely wondering when the musical TV series would be making its return following Finn's farewell, Murphy currently doesn't have a clear-cut answer.

"I don't know exactly when we will come back, and we are trying our best with this attempt at damage control," he added.

On July 13, tragedy struck as Monteith, 31, was found dead inside his room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in downtown Vancouver after missing his scheduled checkout time.

Season 5 of Glee had was initially set to return on Thursday, Sept. 19, but will now come back at some point in November, in lieu of recent events. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details.
