Although not much chatter has seemingly circulated lately on Netflix's hit web show House of Cards, its actor Kevin Spacey recently took the opportunity to address its highly anticipated season 2.

Spacey, who dons the role of House Majority Whip Francis Underwood, dished to Entertainment Weekly on the show's production experience, stating that he's having even more of a blast on the upcoming installment then he did on the first.

"If people enjoyed the first season, I hope that they'll enjoy the second season even more. I can tell you I've been having an even better time and having more fun on it," he said.

The 53-year-old standout also took the opportunity to discuss the positive impact that scripted internet programming has had on an otherwise rough job market.

"It's a very exciting time for the industry. Since we debuted, a lot of other organizations and streaming companies have announced that they're doing original content. The more shows that are produced, the more writers are hired, producers are hired, actors are hired, directors are hired, it means the more people will get employed. It;s better for the economy. It's a fantastic thing," he said.

In House of Cards' casting news, Deadwood's Molly Parker, Mad Men's Sam Page, Date Night's Jimni Simpson and Green's Kate Lyn Sheil have all signed on for season 2, according to Christian Today.

Although no airdate has been officially been set as of yet, Netflix's House of Cards is expected to premiere its second season on the web at some point in early 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest information.
