Kris Jenner Bargains for Free Swag for Kylie Jenner Sweet Sixteen Party [REPORT]
Kris Jenner is bargaining again, but this time it's not for good publicity for her show, it's for her daughter's Sweet 16 party.
Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian clan, will be having her birthday celebration at downton L.A.'s AT&T Center with approximately 100 guests. To lower the cost and make the guests happy, momager Kris Jenner is reportedly bargaining for free swag for the gift bags.
According to the Daily News, a source revealed that Jenner had her team email Brand Placement L.A., saying they were "canvassing" people and businesses to donate gifts for Kylie's bash. Jenner "promised publicity" for the companies that donated swag.
"The email says the party will be filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians," the source said. "They have no shame...She said that the party will be televised on E! and that the donated gift items will also appear on Kylie's blog, which goes out to 500,000 people a day. In addition, Kylie will take a picture in front of the gift table."
Brand Placement L.A. helps companies get their products in the hands of celebrities and on TV and in movies. Kris reached out to them because they provided gift bags for Kendall's Sweet 16 in late 2011.
Unlike Kylie, Kendall had her guests bring toys to donate to charity. She also didn't let her mom control her party. Jenner wanted it to be in the Bahamas, but Kendall refused. Instead, the party was held at the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood and rapper Tyga performed in front of the guests.
"I'm not going to do it! Do you not understand? You're trying to make this bigger and bigger and it's embarrassing me," Kendall told her mom during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Kylie, who hits the milestone on Aug. 10, has already received a free $125,000 Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV in June and had Spin Imaging place an expensive matte finish to the black vehicle. Kendall received a lesser expensive car, a $90,000 Range Rover, for her 16th birthday.
