'Once Upon a Time' Season 3 Spoilers: Peter Pan Casting Revealed & Neverland Set Footage Preview [VIDEOS]
The role of Peter Pan has been cast for the new season of Once Upon a Time.
Robbie Kay, who had previously been cast as a member of The Lost Boys for the third season, will actually be playing Peter Pan. The 17-year-old actor is best known for playing Pinocchio in the 2008 miniseries of the same name and played the role of Cabin Boy in 2011's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Once Upon a Time producers recently told the crowd at Comic-Con that Peter Pan would have a "complicated motivation" in the new season. He would not divulge any more details about what that motivation was, but suggested that he would not be wholly good or evil.

As the show's main characters travel to Neverland for season 3 to try and rescue Henry, many of the land's characters will show up for recurring roles. Rose McIver was recently cast as the mischievous fairy Tinker Bell. The Lost Boys will also be featured in the third season, though there have not been any cast announcements yet.
Once Upon a Time: Sean Maguire Cast as Robin Hood
Filming has begun on the new season, and there has been some behind-the-scenes footage of the new shooting locations. An organization called Vancity Filming took pictures and video of The Lost Boys' outdoor hideout location, where filming recently took place.
The scenes with The Lost Boys will be featured either in episode 2 or 3 of the third season, according to Vancity Filming. Jennifer Morrison, (who plays Emma Swan), Lana Parilla (Regina Mills) and Colin O'Donoughue (Hook) were scheduled to be on set that day. They also reported that there was another set close by for The Enchanted Forest, which includes Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold in flashback scenes.
Once Upon a Time returns for season 3 on Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
