'The Bachelorette' 2013 Results Tonight: Brooks Breaks Des' Heart
The first half of The Bachelorette finale ended in tears for both Desiree Hartsock and Brooks.
Stationed in Antigua for this leg of the competition, Desiree had a tropical paradise to enjoy with each of her possible mates.
Drew
The 27-year-old from Arizona flew in to enjoy some fun in the sun with Des. The couple headed to Shirley Heights where they enjoyed the local culture at a festival. Following limbo and the sound of steel drums, the couple headed to the beach for a romantic dinner. Unfortunately, the weather was less then cooperative and they were driven inside where they sought refuge in the fantasy suite. There Drew confessed that he would be ready to ask Des to marry him right then.
Chris
The 27-year-old Oregon native got a chance to escape the rain of the Pacific Northwest and spend an afternoon picnicking at the beach with Desiree. After a relaxing afternoon, Chris nervously asked Des if, should this relationship go any further, would she be willing to move to Seattle. Much to his relief she said yes. Following that conversation they headed off to the fantasy suite where Chris read her poetry he wrote.
Brooks
Before heading to Antigua, Brooks made a stop in Idaho where he told his mother and sister that he didn't think he could propose to Des. His family told him not to propose if he has any doubts, and host Chris Harrison said much the same. As a result, Brooks broke it off with Des, a decision that ended in tears all around. Des admitted that she didn't want to share her heart; she only wanted to give it to him.
The second half of the season finale will air next Monday on ABC at 8 p.m.
