Karrueche Tran and Duane Martin, alongside several other powerhouse names, have been officially announced as part of the recurring cast for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air dramatic remake.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is returning to Peacock for a dramatic take on the original comedy series. The series is being executive produced by the original Fresh Prince himself Will Smith. The series will follow, according to the official description, "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will's complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he's ever known." The annoucement of these core cast members to this highly-anticipated series have us even more excited for this interesting reimagination.
This inspired cast will star Karrueche Tran as social-media influencer Ivy, Duane Martin as campaign manager Steven Lewis, April Parker Jones as Will's aunt Viola, SteVonté Hart as Will's best friend Tray, Joe Holt as Police Chief Fred Wilkes, Scottie Thompson as interior designer Angela, Jon Beavers as social media influencer Kylo, Tyler Barnhardt as Carlton's best frined Connor, and Charlie Hall as Bel-Air Academy basketball team member Tyler. Previously announced cast members include Jabari Banks, Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, Jordan L. Jones, and Simone Joy Jones. This incredible cast is sure to solidify this show in the ranks of success.
