'America's Got Talent' 2013 July 30 Recap: Innovative Force, Forte Stand Out at Second Live Show [VIDEOS]
America's Got Talent aired its second live show of the season Tuesday night, featuring 12 of the 60 quarterfinalists competing for four slots in the semifinals.
Here are the highlights from Tuesday night's performance show:
Innovative Force:
This group of young dancers stunned the judges with their acrobatic dance routine set to dramatic music. Judge Howard Stern said that the group came out intending to win America's Got Talent and stepped up their act beyond just dance moves.
Forte:
The operatic trio that impressed the judges from the beginning, Forte sang a rendition of Somewhere from the musical West Side Story and got rave reviews from the judges. Judge Howie Mandel said that there was a place for them in the top 10.
Aquanuts:
This group of synchronized swimmers in high heels stunned with a pre-recorded swimming routine on a Manhattan rooftop. Judge Heidi Klum noted that no other show is able to include their act in a competition such as this.
Alexandr Magala:
Magala stepped up his sword-swallowing, pole-dancing act by including fire in his live show performance. Though the judges repeatedly asked him if he was okay after his performance, judge Mel B said that his act was "thoroughly dangerous and frightening," but in a good way.
Tone the Chiefrocca:
This self-proclaimed one-hit-wonder rapper performed his song "Booty" again on the live show. All four judges said that they were entertained by his act and judge Howard Stern said that the rapper succeeded in becoming a one-hit-wonder but asked him where he would go from there.
America's Got Talent will air the results show for Tuesday's 12 acts at 9 p.m. Wednesday on NBC. The top 3 acts with the most votes will automatically be sent through to the semifinals and the judges will choose which of the 4th and 5th place acts goes through with them.
