Party Time! 'Parks and Recreation' Adam Scott Believes the 'Party Down' Revival Will Surpass the Original! Here's Why!
Party Down is a reboot that Adam Scott has some confidence in.
The original series, which came out nearly ten years ago, followed the story of a group of caterers working in Los Angeles. Adam Scott was a proud member of the original ensamble cast. According to an article on The Hollywood Reporter, the Party Down and Parks and Recreation alum has a lot of confidence that the upcoming Starz reboot will be able to get more attention than the original series was ever able to.
In an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Scott remarked:
"I'll call it a cult classic...We finished 12 years ago, and our final episode had something like 13,000 viewers, so it was not yet a cult classic at the time....But people have discovered it in the time since, and I think that's part of what makes it special to people, is that they had to dig it up and find it themselves. And so they feel some ownership over it, which they should because we have now started up again and rebooted because of them - because people found it."
Reboots can be a tricky game, but this has all of the makings of an excellent one. Party Down has all of markings of a show before its time. Therefore, it is well deserving of a revival. The world has finally reached a point where it can be appreciated. We can't wait to see what comes of this revival!
