6,7,8! 'So You Think You Can Dance' is Returning to Fox for It's 17th Season After A Three Year Covid-Related Hiatus
So You Think You Can Dance is spinning its way into a grand return.
According to an article on The Hollywood Reporter, the popular dance competition show will be returning to Fox this coming summer. The show's pause was due to concerns raised in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. (After all, it is a bit difficult to dance with a partner six feet apart!)
The return of this epic show is exciting news for dancers around the world. Auditions for the production have already begun and are continuing to take place this month. Those eligible to compete are all dancers between the ages of eighteen and thirty.
Competitors are sure soon be getting exciting news about whether or not they will be taking place in the return of this well known show.
While we do not know the who the competitors for the season are, we ALSO do not know who will officially be returning to judge or host this season. Prior to the shut-down, it had been announced that Cat Deeley was going to host the 17th season. The judges panel was going to consist of Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Laurieann Gibson.
As we all know too well, however, a lot has changed in the past few years. We cannot yet be sure if this same line-up will return for the upcoming season. An announcement is expected to be released soon.
We can't wait to see season 17 of So You Think You Can Dance this summer!
