Pete Davidson is getting his own comedy series.

The Saturday Night Live star seems to be gearing up to show his face in the primetime light of day. The comedian and actor will be starring in a new comedy series produced by SNL producer Lorne Michaels. An exclusive on Deadline revealed that Davidson will be playing a fictional character based off of himself and his own life experience. The title of the series, which still remains prone to change, is Bupkis. The series has been described as Curb Your Enthusiasm with a quintessentially Pete Davidsonian flare.

Davidson has been in the news recently predominantly for reasons other than his performance career. As the current boyfriend of Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian, the comedian's personal life has been constantly chronicled by outlets and his personhood and relationship have been directly threatened by Kanye West. In a recent music video from the singer, Ye depicted a claymation scene in which he appeared to kill Pete Davidson. Public messages shared by Kanye show the Kardashian emploring her husband to stop going after Pete as she now fears for his safety.

On the other side of things, Davidson has openly said that his only intention is to be there for Kim and support her through this time. He has not made any threats against Kanye. He has only said that he hoped one day that he and West could get through this: an olive branch that West quickly shot down.

We can't wait to see Pete Davidson star in this series
