The Pentaverate, as explained in the trailer, is a secret society which was created by the five people that determined that the Bubonic Plague came from fleas on rats and not as a punshiment from God. These five formed this organiztion as a means of influencing various events and happenings in the world.

The high-quality, action packed content shown in the trailer leaves us feeling like we are about to see a major action film rather than a comedic limited-series. This vibe-based misdirect is likely to breed some incredibly unique and hilarious comedy.
