Okay. We know that for the most part, Anthony Bridgerton from Netflix's Bridgerton and Dennis Reynolds from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia have very little in common. We know that. They were born in entirely different eras, in different countries, and have totally disparate manners, sensibilities, and values. Also, Anthony is a squishy adorable lil baby underneath all that male brovado, while we're pretty sure Dennis is just a literal woman-hating psychopath.

Still, on the surface, it's alarming how much they do that's...eerily similar. After you watch these five videos, we're afraid you won't be able to unsee the similarities...so proceed with caution. (We can even prove that Anthony Bridgerton basically used the D.E.N.N.I.S. system. Which is hilarious, but also...yikes.)

Anthony Bridgerton @ Daphne For The Entirety of Last Season:

He knew his job, goddammit - as head of the family, it was Anthony Bridgerton's job to find suitable suitors to court his younger sister. Why ever Daphne ignored his faboulous choice of a Select in Nigel Berbrooke, flaunting it in favor of his friend Simon, of all people (though that may be where these similarities end.)

Does Anthony Use The D.E.N.N.I.S. System?

Okay, not on purpose, but.......we all saw what he did to the Opera singer last season. Did Anthony...

Demonstrate his Value by attending Siena's performance and doting on her with his compliments and charm (and wealth)? Yes.

Engage her physically? Uh...yes. Yeah, there was a WHOLE lot of that.

Nurture her Dependence by providing her with a lavish apartment and any number of gifts using his family's wealth? Yes.

Neglect her Emotionally by suddenly cutting off all ties with her and telling her she has to get out of her own apartment with no backup plan in place? Check.

Inspire Hope by going back to her and declaring his passionate love, even saying they could run away together or he would bring her to a party? Check-er-ooni.

Separate Entirely from her? He tried! He kept going back, admittedly, so it was her who finally severed contact...but he would have.

We should come up with an acronym for the A.N.T.H.O.N.Y. System to detail whatever the heck it is he did to Kate and Edwina this season.

Anthony @his own emotions when he's looking for a suitable wife

Dee and Frank are Anthony's emotions, and, of course, Dennis is Anthony.

They see Kate and they're like, "yeah, that's it, that's her right?" but Anthony obviously will not have this. He is the Master of his own emotions. They don't understand these Regency rules and they'll only get in the way. They don't know what they're talking about. He is. The Master.

Anthony Bridgerton When He Meets Kate And She Is Better Than Him At Everything:

She can ride a horse better than him? Aroused and caught off guard. She can outwit him at a party? Aroused and caught off guard. She's better than him at croquet? Aroused and caught off guard. And Kate is literally always this confused and irritated.

Anthony When Kate Takes His Favorite Croquet Mallet:

Just. Look at this barely-restrained rage. Tell me you haven't seen Anthony Bridgerton do this a thousand times in public, with either his mother or his siblings eyeing him exactly the same way Dee, Charlie, Dennis, and Frank always do.
