Jonathan Bailey wished Bridgerton season two co-star Charithra Chandran good luck prior to their chemistry read for the hit series.

The Bridgerton boys are nothing if not perfect manifestations of societal decorum. The same is true for the actors in real life. It can be intimidating as an actor to be auditioning for a major role in a show that is already a globally certified phenomenon. However, star of the excellent season, Jonathan Bailey, sent some reassuring words to Charithra Chandran, the actress who found herself cast as Edwina Shama, prior to their chemistry read.

According to an article on People, Bailey sent the actress words of encouragement before that next round of auditions, and they meant a lot to her. Chandran shared:

"Jonny is so generous. He sent me a 'good luck' message on Instagram before my chemistry read with him...He didn't need to do that, but he knew how daunting it can be, and he just wanted to assure me that everyone was rooting for me. I knew from that moment that we would get along."

Chandra continued saying that acting alongside Bailey is a wonderful task because he brings so much to the table. The actress commented, somewhat jokingly, "Not to be a pretentious a-hole, but acting is reacting, and Jonny gives you a lot to react to."

This caring relationship shines brilliantly through the intricately complex and wonderfully dramatic second season of Bridgerton. We are so glad these two phenomenal actors found themselves in these roles.
