The Supernatural crew has finished filming episode 902, "Devil May Care," and is well into shooting for the season 9 premiere.

Possibly titled "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here," the first episode of the season picks up in the aftermath of last spring's "Sacrifice."

Heaven's host has fallen to earth and Castiel (Misha Collins) is among them, walking powerless among humanity. The King of Hell (Mark Sheppard) is in a half cured state while Abaddon is in the wind with plans to take his throne. In the meantime, Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) is busy caring for Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) and his mysterious illness.

"The season premiere picks up right where the season 8 finale leaves off," said Guy Norman Bee, director of "Devil May Care," according to the Examiner. "We'll find out how [Sam] made this miraculous recovery in the premiere episode."

Padalecki seems excited for fans to find out the big secret to his characters sudden change in health, even if Sam won't find out the truth about what happened for some time.

"Filmed the 1st scene of season 9 today (due to scheduling conflicts, we filmed episode 2 first). Gotta say, I'm SO excited for the fans :)," Padalecki tweeted on Tuesday.

Wednesday marked the seventh day of shooting for episode 1. Since Jim Beaver began filming his part for Bobby last Thursday and wrapped on Tuesday, it is safe to assume the character will be making a return in the premiere episode. Beaver can be seen on set as Bobby in the photo above.

"Wrapped Supernatural today. Heading home soon. Too short a time with friends here in Vancouver. It's always like coming home to see family," Beaver tweeted on Tuesday.

Supernatural will return to the CW on Oct. 8.
