'House of Cards' Season 2 News: Historic Courthouse Filming Postponed, New Production Date [VIDEO]
Fans of Netflix's groundbreaking show, House of Cards, awaited patiently on Thursday in order to get a quick glance at actor Kevin Spacey (Francis Underwood), as the highly acclaimed political program was scheduled to film at the Historic Courthouse in Towson, MD.
However, the initial shooting scheduled has reportedly been altered, according to Towson Patch.
Thomas Peddicord, legal advisor and council administrator, stated that the company is now aiming for Aug. 7 as a possible production date.
Although a majority of the action sequences in the show are performed in Washington, D.C., it's also shot on a soundstage in Hartford County. Baltimore City and its surrounding counties have also been utilized to portray the nation's capital.
Interesting to note, House of Cards had been spotted shooting scenes in Annapolis in June.
The drama is the very first online series to obtain an Emmy nomination. To top if off, its received nine overall, including Best Drama Series, Best Lead Actor (Spacey), and Best Lead Actress (Robin Wright).
