'American Horror Story' Season 3 Spoilers: 'Coven' TRAILER & Details on Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson Characters
The first teaser trailer for American Horror Story's third season, subtitled Coven, was released on the show's official Facebook page Tuesday.
The trailer is a brief but powerful look into a white room that features many intriguing elements. Several women are seen floating and facing the room's walls, seemingly helpless. A small cat is also featured, standing on the floor of the room and looking at the camera intently.
The only audio heard is an echoed cover of The House of the Rising Sun, an old folk song popularized by The Animals. As the camera pans out of the room, the trailer cuts to a logo for American Horror Story: Coven while a brief snippet of the theme music plays.

Sarah Paulson, one of the show's regular actresses, talked about her new character with TVGuide in a report published Tuesday.
Paulson will be playing Cordelia, the daughter of Jessica Lange's character, Fiona, who has been revealed to be a head witch. Their relationship may not be entirely civil with each other, according to Paulson.
"Our characters are very different kind of women and that's where the conflict comes, but I'm her child, so there's some question as to why I'm different," she revealed.

American Horror Story executive producer Tim Minear talked about the Fiona character and warned that she will be different from Lange's season 1 character, Constance.
"She's not Constance from Season 1, actually," he said. "She's much, much worse."

In other AHS spoiler news, the season's fourth episode title was spoiled Wednesday in a report by SpoilerTV. Episode 4 of American Horror Story: Coven will be called Fearful Pranks Ensue. Enstars previously reported the first three episode titles of the season: Episode 1 will be called B----craft, episode 2 will be called Boy Parts and episode 3 will be called The Replacements.
American Horror Story: Coven will premiere on FX in October.
