Fans of AMC's The Walking Dead are certainly used to seeing some of their favorite characters killed off, which include the likes of Dale, Shane, Merle and the recently departed Andrea.

With the fourth installment of the season fastly approaching "odds are high that another fan favorite will be biting the dust," according to International Business Times.

Although there has yet to be any confirmation on just who will die, a rumor that's reportedly made its way around several Walking Dead fan sites is that prison group veteran Hershel is set to meet his demise in season 4.

The chatter is said to stem from Instagram pictures that actor Norman Reedus recently posted.

In other WD happenings, while in attendance at the 2013 Comic-Con, actor David Morrissey (Governor) gave his take to IGN on his character for the upcoming season.

"He slaughtered his own people. When he gets in that truck [at the end of Season 3], he's not grinning, he's not smiling and laughing, he has no mustache to twirl. It looks like he just might have destroyed himself," he said.
