Netflix's hit series, House of Cards, has been in the midst of filming its second season for quite some time now, with production on the show now said to be half way done.

According to Christian Post, HoC's sophomore season release will come at some point in the spring of 2014, which would be similar to the first season's time period.

The respective news follows a tweet by executive producer Beau Willimon, who posted that the cast and crew were 50 percent through the shooting process.

"We're about halfway through filming Season Two. We film in Maryland, in and around Baltimore. Sometimes in DC," he wrote.

Speaking of locations, the cast and crew recently filmed at the historic courthouse of Baltimore County. The sets being used for the Internet series at the respective location included the library, offices and council's chambers. To top it off, they got to replace the various employees in those departments for the program, according to The Baltimore Sun.

As mentioned, no launch date for Netflix's House of Cards has officially been announced. However, it was previously slated to kick off its second season on the web at some point in early 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest information on the nine-time Emmy-nominated series.
