A sneak preview of the Once Upon a Time season 3 premiere was shown at Disney's D3 Conference on Aug. 10.

The clip features Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) in the woods of Neverland. He is confronted by one of the Lost Boys, who tells him that if he continues on his quest to save Henry (Jared Gilmore), he would be going against Peter Pan (Robbie Kay).

Before he left, the Lost Boy tossed a doll onto the ground in front of Rumplestiltskin and said that Pan wanted him to have it.

"Isn't it funny--the things we haven't thought about in years -- still have the ability to make us cry?" The Lost Boy said, as Rumplestiltskin clutched the doll and fell to the ground weeping.

Based on the clip, it seems that Peter Pan and the Lost Boys will be more dangerous and gloomier than their original characters in the Peter Pan novels. The show's executive producers previously mentioned that their version of Pan would have a "complicated motivation" in season 3.
