Actress Anna Faris says armpit hair can get "revolting" and "coarse" when it grows long.

Faris let her armpit hair grow for her role as an organic grocery store boss in Sacha Baron Cohen's comedy "The Dictator" to be released in May.

The actress joked the experienced allowed her to realize the "power underneath my arms," according to a taped interview to air Friday on the "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno.

“It took a few months, but I was naive enough to think, we'll I'm blond so it’s got to be kind of light and cute, wispy.’ No but it really wasn’t. It was revolting. It was long and coarse and black, and like all over," Faris told Leno while the audience reacted in disgust.

"Well I have to see the movie now," Leno said.

“About an hour after we wrapped the last day, I didn’t have a party, but it felt like a party for me. I went into the shower, where I had to cut it with scissors, and then it sort of clogged the drain up,” Faris said.
