'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Spoilers: Jon Snow To Find Ygritte Fatally Wounded? [VIDEO, NEWS]
Game of Thrones fans that are impatient about what lies ahead for season 4 don't have to worry about one main character.
Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was last seen in the season 3 finale being attacked with arrows by Ygritte (Rose Leslie). With three arrows sticking out of him, Jon sat on his horse, which carried him to Castle Black where Sam (John Bradley) and his fellow Night's Watch men reacted in shock at his wounds.
Fans of the character can rest assured that Jon will be fine. Harington has already talked about season 4 being his favorite so far and book readers know that he will eventually get back into the good graces of the Night's Watch. He may be recovering from his wounds throughout season 4, but he will eventually be leading the attack against the wildlings at the Wall.
*Major Spoilers Ahead*
For those fans who want to know if Jon will get back together with ex-girlfriend Ygritte, it appears that it wasn't meant to be. As the battle between the Night's Watch and the wildlings wages on, Jon will find himself pointing an arrow at Ygritte but decides not to take the shot.
After the battle's end, Jon discovers that Ygritte has been fatally wounded but is pleased to know that it wasn't with one of his arrows. As he stands over her, she asks him if Castle Black is a real castle, explaining that she always wanted to see one. Jon says that it is but tells her that she won't die. Always quick-witted, Ygritte responds with her trademark line, "You know nothing, Jon Snow," before perishing.
Kit Harington & Rose Leslie breakup details
Though the TV series writers have made changes from the book, none of those changes have been particularly significant in the grand scheme of things, so fans will unfortunately have to watch this death scene by season's end. It has not been confirmed that they will go through with it though, so fans of their relationship still have a small glimmer of hope.
Season 4 of Game of Thrones will premiere in Spring 2014.
