'Walking Dead' Season 4 Premiere: Michonne Gets New Companion After Andrea's Death? [TRAILER, NEW PHOTO]
To the excitement of its loyalists, more information has indeed come out on the fourth season of the AMC hit zombie series, The Walking Dead, as the character of Michonne (Danai Gurira) will have a new trusty companion to replace the recently departed Andrea (Laurie Holden) in a horse named Flame.
Entertainment Weekly recently posted a couple of photos of the sword specialist aboard her new friend and means of transport.
Executive producer Gale Hurd spoke about the horse's significance for the character of Michonne moving forward into the upcoming installment.
"One of the most compelling images is Michonne finding a new and possibly a lot more reliable type of transportation. With gas at a premium, with the fact that vehicles break down, I think we would return to the days of horseback riding and you can graze them as you go in a place like Georgia.
"You don't have to carry food for them. They feed themselves, so to speak. It goes along with the new approach this season of sustainability," Hurd added.
AMC's The Walking Dead will be launching its fourth season on Sunday, October 13 at 9/8 p.m. Central. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest info on the popular program. The trailer for the upcoming season can be watched below.
