While the Governor (David Morrissey) was quite the big bad in the last season of AMC's The Walking Dead, it appears as though there may potentially be another, more powerful villain on the horizon.

According to The Stir, the potential antagonist is a someone named Negan, who is well known in the WD comics.

The respective character is notorious for having a baseball bat with barbed wire wrapped around it that he calls Lucille. In the 100th issue of the comic series, he uses the bat in "a scene that's so shocking," you would have to "close the pages and do some deep breathing because holy crap."

Comic book creator/executive producer Robert Kirkman elaborated on the Negan character showing up at some point in the future.

"That's definitely a real temptation when you are adapting a show. It's sometimes a struggle because I feel like there are very cool things that are waiting in the wings in the comics that we could do earlier in the show. But those things only work the way they work because of everything that came before them."

AMC's The Walking Dead will be launching its fourth season on Sunday, October 13 at 9/8 p.m. Central. Be sure to keep checking back with Enstars for more of the latest info on the popular program. A video clip for the upcoming season can be watched below.
