Fans of BBC One's hit TV series, Sherlock, are surely excited to find out what lies ahead, following the bogus death of its lead character, Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch), which has indeed made things quite dismal for his righthand man Watson (Martin Freeman).

Judging from the season 3 episode 3 images taken straight off the English set, it seems as though Sherlock will be in quite the less than ideal situation himself, as he's seen unshaven and with a messy mane. The photos show Cumberbatch's character decked out in loosely-fitting tracksuit bottoms, a polo shirt and an oversized navy blue raincoat.

However, Martin's character donned a plaid button-down shirt and cardigan, with his hair combed to the side, appearing to be looking more like himself while giving chase to Sherlock.

Hypable speculates that the respective pics of Sherlock in a less than ideal state "are part of a cliffhanger that carries over to series 4."
