PBS' hit British-American drama, Downton Abbey, continues to draw interest for its upcoming fourth season, which will surely bring with it a slew of new drama.

One of the characters that'll most certainly be getting a brunt of the attention is the recently widowed Lady Mary (Michelle), who must now raise her baby as a single mother.

Dockery had recently spoken about Mary's future love life while in attendance at the TCA 2013 Press Tour.

"She has more than one love interest. Of course, it's important for her to eventually move on," she said.

Although he won't be getting hot and heavy with Lady Mary, the newbie character of Jack Ross (Gary Carr) will be on board to play a jazz singer. Executive producer Gareth Neame spoke to TV Guide about the first African American actor to grace Downton.

He's "very positive, ambitious and charming. And we get to see him perform," he said.

Actress Joanne Froggatt, who plays Anna, told BuzzFeed that Carr's role should be handled with kid gloves, as it was a highly controversial issue around the time period of the 1920s.

"It has got to be touched upon in a certain way because it would have been an issue that people noted at the time. But it's not forced upon the audience in any way. These characters are having a new experience of a black person coming to Downton and that's something they've not experienced before ... Also, with the fact that a jazz band comes to Downton as well; this is really modern," she said.

Downton Abbey is set to launch in the U.S. on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, and run until Sunday, February 23, 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the TV series. For more DA news related to the upcoming installment, a video clip can be viewed below.
