America's Got Talent aired its fifth live performance show of the season Tuesday night, featuring 12 quarterfinalists competing for four spots in the semifinals.

Here are some of the show's highlights:

Body contortionist Melody Caballero was a last-minute replacement for the live show, but performed with precision. The 10-year-old acrobat balanced on her mouth while spinning and got rave reviews from the judges, with Howard Stern called her fantastic.

Danger act Sam Johnson climbed up a sky-high pole in an outdoor location and balanced on top of it. He then proceeded to swing upside down on the pole. The judges could not help but react verbally with each swing.

Child ballroom dancers D'Angelo & Amanda performed a dramatic dancing routine with such precision that the judges gave them a standing ovation. Mel B said that they were flawless and had a great intensity between them.

Comedian John Wing performed a routine about children and modern teachers, which had the judges laughing throughout. Mandel gave Wing a standing ovation and commended his level of comfort on stage.

Shadow dancing troupe Catapult Entertainment conveyed a story about growing up through a shadow dancing performance. The performance had the judges on their feet, with Klum telling them they were the best act of the night and Mandel saying that no one could possibly follow them.

America's Got Talent will air the results of Tuesday's show at 9 p.m. on Wednesday on NBC. The top 3 acts with the most votes will automatically be sent through to the semifinals and the judges will choose which of the fourth and fifth place acts will make it to the next round.
