'Castle' Season 6 Premiere: Crime Novelist Marrying Beckett Only To Keep Her From Relocating To DC? [VIDEO]
The topic of Castle's (Nathan Fillion) marriage proposal to Beckett (Stana Katic) has clearly been dominating the chatter as of late when it comes to ABC's hit crime series, Castle.
The respective cliffhanger from the fifth installment had many loyalists of the program debating whether the crime novelist only proposed in order to keep her from relocating to Washington, D.C.
Executive producer of the program, Andrew Marlowe, spoke to TV Guide about what he feels Castle's motives were when he requested Beckett's hand in marriage.
"He was challenged to think about what he really wanted in life. His preferred version is that he has this woman in his life," he said.
While the EP thinks Castle is undoubtedly ready to tie the knot once again, he also thinks that the character still has some underlying dilemmas to deal with as well.
"I think he very much likes to think that is the case, but he is who he is," Marlowe added.
