The Good Wife Season 5 Spoilers: Things Might Get "explosive": Julianna Marguiles Interview [VIDEO]
Juliana Margulies recently revealed that Season 5 of the Good Wife will feature a bunch of returning guest stars like Carrie Preston (True Blood), America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), and Gary Cole (Midnight Caller, Crusade). Also, talking about the next season in an interview with ET, Margulies divulged that "there's some stuff brewing that I think will be a little explosive."
"There's something incredibly profound about to happen to one of our characters, I say profound, because that will sort of make you all not know what it is," Margulies said.
Nathan Lane (The Producers) will be a new guest star on the show and Margulies is really rooting for Michael J. Fox's return to the series. The producers are hoping NBC lets Fox return to The Good Wife after this season of his new comedy, The Michael J. Fox Show, wraps. There are also rumors about the return of Matthew Perry, who portrays Mike Kresteva, the Republican candidate for governor who lost to Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) on the show. Peter's win makes Alicia (Margulies) the first lady of Illinois and her new position is one reason the character decided to leave Lockhart/Gardner with Cary (Matt Czuchry), according to Margulies.
In the interview, Margulies also suggested that there would be tension between the two law firms that "allows our characters to leave each other and then come back to each other in a great way."
Season 5 of the Good Wife will premiere on CBS on Sep. 7.
