'Agents of Shield' May Feature Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury VIDEO
Samuel L. Jackson is hoping to snag an appearance in Marvel's first live action television show.
As the premiere of Joss Whedon's Marvel's Agents of SHIELD draws closer, fans of the comic book franchise are actively awaiting news regarding which of their favorite characters may make the jump to the small screen.
While the show focuses on the members of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, the agents' boss, Nick Fury, is not a series regular.
Jackson, who has played Fury five times in the recent Marvel films and will add a sixth when Captain America: The Winter Solider debuts, would like to see his character featured on the ABC show in some form.
"I keep talking to them about it. I keep saying, 'If nothing else, let me be Charlie of Charlie's Angels. Use my voice to send them off to do stuff sometimes.' Joss just looked at me like, 'Hmmm. Maybe,'" Jackson said, according to USA Today.
The new series will be bringing in at least two characters from the Marvel cinematic universe. Clark Gregg will reprise his role as the once-dead Agent Coulson while Cobie Smulders will make an appearance as Agent Maria Hill.
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD will premiere on Sept. 24.
