White Collar star Matt Bomer, who plays Neal Caffrey on the series, explained to E! Online his character's dynaminc with Peter (Tim McKay) in the show's upcoming fifth season.

"It's all about this Faustian bargain; a deal that Neal makes with the devil in exchange for Peter's freedom and it just creates this interesting dynamic on the show because the show is all about trust," Bomer said.

Peter was last seen in the season 4 finale getting arrested after being framed by Neal's father (Trent Williams) for the murder of Senator Pratt (Titus Welliver).

Enstars previously reported that Mark Sheppard (who played conman Curtis Hagen in the pilot episode) would be returning to White Collar in season 5. Peter is the one who sent Hagen to jail. Elaborating on the bargain he referred to, Bomer said, "Once again Neal always has the best intentions but it puts him in a very compromising position."
