To the fortune of the Coronation Street fans, Bruno Langley (Todd Grimshaw) has returned to the program and reunited with old friend Antony Cotton (Sean Tully).

According to the Huffington Post, the actor was seen shooting his first scenes for the ITV soap since 2011. Langley was last on the soap regularly from 2001 until 2004, and donned the role of the first gay character.

The son of Eileen Grimshaw was infamously witnessed attempting to kiss a sleeping Nick Tilsley (Adam Rickitt).

Langley's character was last seen in a brief stint in April 2011 and the creative brass are saying that his return will "mean heartache for more than one Corrie resident."

Cotton recently took to Twitter on Aug. 27 to post an on set photo of him and Langley.

"First day with the return of @BrunoLangley done. So nice to have him back. Roll on a great new Grimshaw/Tully era."

Coronation Street airs in the U.K. on Mondays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the popular program. A recent cast interview can be viewed below.
