'Once Upon a Time' Season 3 Premiere: Official Plot Synopsis Reveals Peter Pan As A Villain? [VIDEO, NEWS]
The first official description of Once Upon a Time season 3 was released Wednesday by ABC,
Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin), Regina (Lana Parrilla), David (Josh Dallas), Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) will discover that Neverland is a very dark place as they try to rescue Henry (Jared S. Gilmore). The synopsis for the season explained that Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) will be a major villain as the group learns what he wants with Henry.
Back in the Enchanted Forest, Aurora (Sarah Bolger), Prince Phillip (Julian Morris) and Mulan (Jamie Chung) try to save Neal Cassidy (Michael Raymond-James), who is barely breathing. The description said that viewers will find out if Aurora, Prince Phillip and Mulan are able to revive Neal and reunite him with his family.
The synopsis also confirmed that new fairytale characters will be introduced while "old aquaintances" will be revisited. Some of the new fairytale characters announced this season are Tinker Bell (Rose McIver), Ariel (JoAnna Garcia) and the various Lost Boys. It has also been announced previously that Giancarlo Espositio would be returning in season 3 as the Magic Mirror/Sidney Glass.

ABC also announced recently that the series would be broken up into two 11-episode chunks. It will air a new episode every week starting on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. on ABC. Once these 11 episodes have aired, the series will take a break and return on Sunday, March 9, to air the final 11 episodes of the season.
