'American Horror Story' Season 3 Spoilers: Character Names Revealed for Liiy Rabe, Gabourey Sidibe & More [VIDEO]
With the third season of American Horror Story just a month away, several character names have been released.
Though it was previously reported that Angela Bassett would be playing 1830s Voodoo priestess Marie Laveau, IMDB noted that she will play a character named Olivia Startville. Other Startvilles in the cast of characters include Berta Startville (Gabourey Sidibe) and Monica Startville (Lily Rabe). It is very likely that all of these characters are relatives.
Enstars previously reported Rabe saying that her character would be close with Kathy Bates' Madame Delphine LaLaurie, an evil slaveholder socialite. Madame LaLaurie was a real-life New Orleans woman who tortured and killed black slaves in her mansion. One of the characters in episode 1, according to IMDB, is called "Slave in the Attic."

Many character names have already been revealed, including a Supreme witch named Fiona (Jessica Lange), Fiona's daughter Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) and party girl Madison (Emma Roberts).
The third season of American Horror Story, subtitled Coven, is set in New Orleans and involves witchcraft. The season will feature a group of Salem witches who have traveled to New Orleans. The coven of witches starts getting killed off, causing Fiona to sweep in to town and put a stop to it.

The cast of characters is predominantly female, with just three male actors (Evan Peters, Denis O'Hare, Gray Damon) expected to have significant parts in the season.
Season 3 of American Horror Story is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. on FX.
