'The Voice' Season 5 News: First Trailer Premieres Featuring Adam Levine & Blake Shelton 'Bro-mance' [VIDEO]
The first trailer for The Voice season 5 was released recently.
The trailer features coaches Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green rejoining the series after Shakira and Usher took their places in season 4. Aguilera and Green are returning with coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, who have both been with the series since season 1.
"The original coaches, the bro-mance, the talent, it's all back," the trailer says. The trailer shows new footage of the prospective singers for season 5 as well as the judges interacting.
"You're gorgeous, man," Levine tells Shelton, who subsequently kisses him on the cheek.
Shelton also shows off his trophies that he has won for the past three seasons of The Voice. The country singer has coached contestants in each season all the way to the finals and America voted his contestants Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery the winner in season 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
In other Voice news, two advisors were chosen to help coach the contestants in the Battle Rounds. Aguilera chose singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran as the advisor for her team while Levine chose OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder as the advisor for his team. Green and Shelton's advisors have not been revealed yet.
The Battle Rounds of The Voice will air on Oct. 14 and 15 on NBC. Season 5 of The Voice premieres on Monday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. on NBC. The first few episodes will feature the blind auditions, in which the coaches can only listen to a singer's voice before judging their potential.
