'Sons of Anarchy' Season 6 Premiere: Clay Set To Be On A 'Redemptive Path' In Upcoming Installment? Video, News
While it was extremely easy for fans to hate the fallen Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman) at the start of the fifth season of FX's Sons of Anarchy, many fans surely began to sympathize with him, as he went from dominant club president to his leadership now being a distant memory.
Although there are still many people that surely won't be rooting for Clay despite his current predicament behind bars, creator Kurt Sutter did dish on the character, stating to TVLine that he's on a "redemptive path... There's a certain amount of resignation and understanding of who he is and the things that he's done; he'll try to go out with a little bit of dignity," he said.
To top off Clay's hard fall from the top of the Sons' food chain, Carter Matt reported that Perlman himself wasn't exactly thrilled with the current direction of his character. The site posted that the actor has had a slew of conversations with Sutter about attempting to find something in his diminished role that he can better relate to.
