'Mad Men' Season 7 Spoilers: Christina Hendricks Potential Joan Spinoff After Series Ends? [VIDEO]
One of the stars of Mad Men confirmed that season 7 would be its last and revealed a possible spin-off they'd like to see.
Christina Hendricks, who plays Joan on the long-running AMC drama, confirmed in a recent interview with SC Times that the series would be ending this season.
When asked when Mad Men would start production again, Hendricks said, "In November. Last season." The seventh and final season will likely be airing in the spring or summer of 2014.
Hendricks said that when the series is over she's "just going to stay at home and write little scenarios for Joan because I just miss her!"
Discussing a potential spin-off for Joan, she titled it Joan, the '70s: A Memoir, in which Joan "would be doing more of the same, probably higher in the ranks at work, trying to be the best mother she could be, hopefully finding love. Hopefully."

Enstars previously reported that Kevin Rahm, who plays Ted on the series, was interested in doing a spin-off series as well. In Rahm's scenario, Ted and Pete (Vincent Kartheiser) would be getting into trouble in California with an Odd Couple-like premise.
Though neither Hendricks' nor Rahm's spin-offs are likely to be produced, it seems that the cast is not yet ready to let go of their characters after only one more season.
As for the details of season 7, there are few and far between. Mad Men chronicles about one or two years of the '60s within the course of each season. Season 6 left off with the characters in 1968, a turbulent year for America in which civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot and the Vietnam War draft. By the time season 7 ends, the characters will likely have reached 1970.
