Ryan Seacrest and NBC Universal Sign Deal: Host to Appear on "Today," London Olympics
Ryan Seacrest signed a deal with NBC Universal to extend his current on-air hosting of E! and appear on the "Today" show and the Olympics.
The sum of the deal was not disclosed.
Under the two-year deal Seacrest will be a special correspondent for NBC's "Today" show, contribute to NBC primetime news, produce and contribute to entertainment programming and the Olympics coverage beginning with the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
"Ryan is an extraordinary talent who has been an important part of the Comcast family for a long time," said Steve Burke, CEO of NBCUniversal. "We look forward to his continued role on E! and to having him appear on many new places across NBCUniversal, including the TODAY show and at the Olympics."
Additionally, Seacrest will continue his role with E! as Managing Editor of E! News, as well as occasionally contribute and produce editorial content and celebrity interviews.
He will continue to host and produce E!'s Live from the Red Carpet signature events.
Seacrest produces the reality TV series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," and the spin offs "Khloe and Lamar," "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," and "Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami."
