Kerry Washington Pregnant? 'Scandal' Star Married To Nnamdi Asomugha, Expecting Rumor At NYFW
Kerry Washington is rumored to be pregnant again ahead of the premiere of season 3 of Scandal.
MediaTakeout reported on Sunday, during New York Fashion Week, that she and her new husband are expecting their first child.
Washington married NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha on July 2. It was first reported by TerezOwens and later by US Weekly on July 3. According to reports, the newlyweds applied for a marriage license on June 24 in Blaine County, Idaho and later wed in Hailey, Idaho.
A week later, DairyofaHollywoodStreetKing reported on July 8 that an insider close to Washington revealed the Scandal star is pregnant and plans to keep it a secret.
"Kerry plans on hiding out throughout the summer from the public," the source told the gossip blog.
The source also revealed the actress is working with Scandal creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes to include a pregnancy story line for Washington's character Olivia Pope in Season 3.
Washington currently graces the Oct. 2013 cover of Glamour magazine. In the issue, she discussed why she is tight-lipped about her secret marriage.
"I learned through experience that it doesn't work for me to talk about my personal life. I've had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it. I was on the cover of a bridal magazine [InStyle Weddings, in 2005, when Washington was engaged to actor David Moscow]. But I couldn't just turn around and say, 'I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.' So I just thought, 'OK, no more,'" she said.
