Netflix's hit series, Orange Is The New Black, continues to garner viewers for its upcoming sophomore season, which will be returning at some point in early 2014.
Two actresses that have made quite the impact on the program as mother and daughter are Elizabeth Rodriguez and Dascha Polanco.
The main character, Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), forms an unorthodox bond with a group of prisoners, who each encompasses a unique personality.
Rodriguez dons the role of Aleida Diaz, a woman who stored illegal drugs inside the confines of her kitchen while Polanco plays a young female having an affair with one of the jail's guards.
Rodriguez recently dished to Fox News Latino on the resilience of the popular series, and how the woman written in the storylines sadly do reflect reality.
"What has happened with this series is incredible. Here we're talking about women we don't usually know, but who exist. This is not Hollywood invention like so many series and movies. It reflects a reality," she said.
"Sometimes I ask myself what's happening. It's like a tsunami that comes on suddenly. We're very grateful, happy and proud about the love we've received," Rodriguez added.
