Television host Mario Lopez and his wife, Courtney Lopez, welcomed their second child on Monday.

The couple delivered Dominic Lopez at a Los Angeles hospital, according to a statement released at Extra. Their "healthy" baby boy weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. He joins his older sibling Gia Francesca Lopez, who will turn 3 on Sept. 11.

The Extra TV correspondent said in February that he was hoping for a boy.

"I already have a girl, so if we have a boy that would be nice," Mario told Us Weekly shortly after he announced his wife's second pregnancy. "But I won't be disappointed if we don't."

Lopez wed Courtney, whom he dated for four years, on Dec. 1, 2012.

Talking about his wedding with the magazine, Lopez said, "[Courtney] looked stunning. I loved her dress. It was gorgeous. She looked like a Disney princess with a little Latin flavor. [It was] beautiful, classy, [but] still sexy."

Lopez will return to host season 3 of The X Factor when it airss its new season on FOX next week. He shared his excitement about his return in a statement.

"I'm looking forward to returning to The X Factor team," Lopez said. "We're coming back stronger and better than ever and I'm excited to check out all the new talent."

The show's creator, Simon Cowell said he was "thrilled" to have Lopez back.

"I'm thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor. Hosting a live show and keeping the judges-especially Demi-in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he's coming back."

The X Factor's two-night premiere will begin on Sept. 11 & 12 at 8 p.m. EST/7 Central on FOX.
